Our client, a respected law firm specializing in legal recoveries and creditors' rights, is seeking an Attorney to join its Virginia Beach, Virginia team. This is a hybrid position, with attorneys working three days per week in the office and two days remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements and work toward favorable outcomes for clients.
- Primarily review and sign legal pleadings and court filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and court requirements.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal staff, clients, opposing counsel, and the courts to efficiently move cases forward.
- Maintain organized case files while meeting court deadlines and firm procedures.

Qualifications
- Active license to practice law in Virginia and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.
- Experience with civil litigation; creditors' rights or collections experience is a plus but not required.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple active matters.
- Professional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning legal technology platforms.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
Preferred Experience
- Background in civil litigation, commercial litigation, creditors' rights, debt recovery, or financial services.
- Courtroom experience, including hearings, motions, and settlement negotiations.
- Success managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced legal environment.
