Work Environment

Located in Hollywood, Florida, the Macro Medical Center’s surgical center provides a supportive, fast-paced environment where teamwork and communication are critical. You will work Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, providing care to both outpatient and inpatient populations. Our facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, and our team is composed of professionals dedicated to achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and gather detailed medical histories to assess both the physical and mental conditions of patients.
  • Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform decision-making regarding patient health problems and needs.
  • Prescribe and recommend medical therapies while adhering to established protocols, ensuring a focus on efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with physicians to formulate and implement comprehensive, outcomes-based patient treatment plans, regularly evaluating patient responses and adjusting care as necessary.
  • Provide counseling to patients and their families on illness management, nutrition, medication regimens, and health promotion strategies to empower and educate them about their health.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of patient treatment plans and outcomes, promptly initiating referrals when the scope of care exceeds your expertise.
  • Manage patients in various healthcare settings outside of primary clinics, including inpatient and emergency services.
  • Perform designated invasive procedures in accordance with established guidelines as delegated by supervising physicians.
  • Offer flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs, potentially covering patient care duties outside regular hours.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physician Assistant at Macro Medical Center, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population seeking cardiology care. Your assessments and treatment plans will address a broad range of cardiovascular conditions, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and care tailored to their needs. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, with appropriate licensure and certification to practice as a Physician Assistant.

  • Strong clinical evaluation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on patient education and empowerment.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a surgical or cardiology setting will be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and practice management software.
  • Proven track record of critical thinking and complex problem-solving in a medical context.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications.
