Position Summary

Mackin Talent is seeking an Engagement Specialist to support key client accounts and provide day-to-day coordination across client relationship management, employee engagement, talent acquisition, and operational activities.


The Engagement Specialist serves as an important point of contact between Mackin Talent, assigned employees, and client stakeholders. The role requires strong communication, organization, judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, client-facing environment.


Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, Client Managers, employees, and Mackin internal teams.
  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned Client Managers
  • Conduct regular meetings and check-ins with Client Managers to gather feedback, identify service needs, track actions, and support effective service delivery.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Mackin teams to support existing client relationships and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.
  • Coordinate client-site requirements and administrative onboarding activities for assigned employees.
  • Support Statements of Work, Purchase Orders, contract renewals, and related account documentation.
  • Track account requirements, deadlines, deliverables, and outstanding actions and escalate issues where appropriate.

Employee Engagement & Relations Support

  • Serve as a point of contact for assigned employees regarding routine employment questions, including company policies, benefits, timekeeping, payroll processes, leave procedures, and other employment-related matters.
  • Conduct regular employee check-ins to assess engagement, identify concerns, and support the employee experience.
  • Liaise with Team Leads, Client Managers, and Mackin leadership regarding employee performance, workplace concerns, team needs, and other employment matters.
  • Document employee and client concerns accurately and escalate matters requiring HR or management intervention to the appropriate Mackin representative.
  • Coordinate performance review cycles, including scheduling, documentation, follow-up, and administration within the Company's performance management platform.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality when handling employee, client, and Company information.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities as required.

Talent Acquisition

In partnership with Mackin's Talent Acquisition team:

  • Support the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned positions, from initial intake through candidate pre-onboarding.
  • Conduct intake discussions to understand role requirements, required competencies, client expectations, and hiring priorities.
  • Source and engage prospective candidates through appropriate recruitment channels.
  • Review applications and conduct initial candidate screening to assess experience, qualifications, role alignment, availability, and compensation expectations.
  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Coordinate interview processes between candidates and hiring stakeholders.
  • Support the development and administration of interview plans and scheduling.
  • Facilitate communication and follow-up with candidates and hiring stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
  • Participate in post-interview debriefs and maintain a professional, responsive candidate experience.

Company Operations

  • Provide operational and administrative support for the management of assigned client accounts.
  • Maintain accurate employee, account, recruitment, and operational records within applicable Company systems.
  • Prepare, maintain, and update tracking tools, reports, documentation, and account records.
  • Coordinate meetings, calendars, documentation, events, and other account activities as required.
  • Work cross-functionally with Mackin teams to implement and improve processes supporting consistent service delivery across client sites.
  • Identify operational issues and escalate them to the appropriate Mackin team member or manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an administrative, staffing, recruiting, employee engagement, account coordination, or client-facing workforce role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, clients, managers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and changing coverage requirements in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in relation to documentation, tracking, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and appropriately escalate matters requiring management or HR involvement.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee, candidate, client, and Company information appropriately.
  • Comfortable learning and working with technology platforms and AI-enabled business tools.
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, including working on-site at the assigned client location in Redmond, Washington three days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two or more years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience within a staffing, consulting, talent solutions, managed services, or client-embedded workforce environment.
  • Experience supporting employee relations processes, including performance management, documentation, employee engagement, and issue escalation.
  • Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Experience supporting technical, professional, or project-based teams within a client-site environment.
  • Experience with talent acquisition, candidate sourcing, recruitment coordination, and Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience preparing reports and tracking employee engagement, recruitment, performance, or service-delivery metrics.

Work Environment and Classification

This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable federal, Washington State, and local wage and hour laws. Employees are required to accurately record all hours worked and obtain appropriate authorization for overtime in accordance with Company policy. All overtime worked will be compensated as required by applicable law.


The position operates on a hybrid basis and requires regular attendance at the assigned client location in Redmond, Washington, currently expected to be three days per week.

Salary Range: $24.04 – $26.44 / hour (DOA)- subject to applicable overtime requirements
