Job description

About MOMT Productions:

MOMT Productions is a media production company focused on creating engaging live and recorded video content for online audiences. The company specializes in IRL (in-real-life) streaming and digital storytelling, capturing real-time experiences in urban environments.

Work with actor/creator Maestro Harrell (The Wire, Fear the Walking Dead) on growing IRL and YouTube content.

Role Description:

We’re looking for a reliable, energetic camera operator to help shoot live IRL streams and YouTube content around Los Angeles.

This is not a traditional sit-down videography job. You’ll be following talent through real-world activities, challenges, events, restaurants, nightlife, street content, sports, travel-style content, and other high-energy situations.

The ideal person understands internet content and knows how to keep a camera on the action without needing constant direction.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Operate a handheld camera during IRL livestreams and content shoots

• Follow the host/talent while maintaining strong framing and composition

• Keep subjects in frame during fast-moving and unpredictable situations

• Monitor focus, exposure, battery life, and basic camera settings

• Capture reactions, interactions, and important moments as they happen

• Work in crowded public environments

• Communicate with the host/production team during shoots

• Help with basic camera setup and breakdown

• Occasionally assist with additional production equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Experience operating cameras for YouTube, livestreaming, social media, events, documentaries, reality content, or similar productions

• Comfortable shooting handheld for extended periods

• Good instincts for framing people and following live action

• Comfortable filming in public and around crowds

• Dependable and punctual with reliable transportation around Los Angeles

• Comfortable working evenings and weekends when needed

• Able to stay focused during unpredictable live situations

• Familiarity with YouTube, Twitch, Kick, TikTok, or IRL streaming is a major plus

Ideal Candidate

You probably watch YouTube, Twitch, Kick, or other creator content and already understand the difference between traditional cinematography and internet content.

You know when to stay wide, when to get a reaction, when something funny is about to happen, and how to follow the action naturally.

We’re looking for someone who can eventually develop chemistry with the team and become a regular part of the production.

Recent graduates with a strong interest in digital content, videography, and the creator space are preferred.

Equipment

Production equipment can be provided. If you have your own camera or production gear, please mention it in your application.

Compensation:

$200 per approximately 3-hour shoot.

• Potential for 2–3 shoots per week and additional opportunities as the channel and production schedule grow.

***

To Apply:

Please include:

• Your name, location & a brief description of your camera/video experience

• Links to previous work, Instagram, YouTube, portfolio, or reel if available

• What camera equipment you have experience using

• Your general weekly availability

• Whether you have reliable transportation

• A short explanation of why you would be a good fit for IRL/YouTube content

Bonus: If you regularly watch IRL streamers or YouTube creators, tell us which creators you watch.
