OB Surgical Technologist Job Responsibilities
- Assist in Labor & Delivery Procedures: Set up surgical suites, ensure instruments are properly sterilized, and provide direct support to OB surgeons during procedures.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Partner with nurses, physicians, and medical staff to deliver seamless, high-quality patient care.
- Provide Med-Surg Support: Step in to assist the Med-Surg unit during low OB patient volume.
- Maintain Surgical Safety & Protocols: Uphold strict sterile field practices and adhere to all surgical safety guidelines.
- Oversee Equipment & Supply Readiness: Monitor, restock, and prepare surgical and delivery rooms for both routine and emergency cases.
Licensure & Certifications:
- BLS certification required.
- Labor and delivery or surgical scrub experience preferred, but training is available.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.
