About the Opportunity

A growing multifamily real estate development firm is seeking a highly organized, driven Renovation Logistics Coordinator to support a major occupied-housing renovation initiative across Washington County, Minnesota. This person will coordinate resident transitions, unit readiness, contractor timing, and project communication for approximately 130 townhome and apartment units while gaining direct exposure to multifamily development, construction operations, and property management.

The Role

This role will provide real-time insight into the development process. The Renovation Logistics Coordinator role is a hands-on, execution-focused position. You’ll be the point person ensuring units are ready for renovation on schedule and tenants are notified and relocated while renovations of their units are underway. You’ll also be coordinating with property management, contractors, and relocation service providers on a consistent basis to ensure timing requirements are met. The right person is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing many moving pieces across tenants, property management, contractors, and vendors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage unit-by-unit renovation schedules in coordination with construction and property management teams
  • Notify tenants of upcoming work, timelines, and expectations with clear, consistent communication
  • Coordinate temporary relocations, including:
  • Scheduling movers
  • Securing alternative accommodations when needed
  • Managing move-out and move-in timelines
  • Ensure tenants are fully prepared and units are vacant on schedule for construction start
  • Act as the primary liaison between tenants, onsite staff, contractors, and vendors
  • Troubleshoot real-time issues (delays, tenant concerns, vendor coordination) and keep projects moving
  • Track progress and maintain detailed records of unit status, tenant communications, and logistics
  • Ensure a professional, respectful tenant experience throughout the renovation process


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, construction management, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in multifamily housing, operations, customer-facing project coordination, construction, hospitality, logistics, or business administration will also be considered
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to track multiple units, vendors, schedules, and resident communications at once.
  • Clear, direct communication style
  • Comfortable working with residents in high-touch situations
  • Problem-solver mindset; you anticipate issues and handle them quickly
  • Experience coordinating vendors (movers, hotels, contractors) is a strong plus
  • Comfortable working on-site regularly and being in the field

  • Units are delivered vacant and ready on schedule
  • Tenants are informed, prepared, and cooperative
  • Minimal delays due to logistics or coordination issues
  • Issues are resolved quickly without escalation


Compensation

  • Competitive hourly or contract rate (based on experience)
  • 40 hours per week
  • 14-month initial term
  • Opportunity to transition into a full-time role
