MB Attorney Search is conducting a confidential search for a Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join the Chicago office of a nationally recognized law firm with a highly regarded real estate practice.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced commercial real estate attorney seeking a sophisticated platform to continue growing a successful practice. The firm offers substantial existing workflow, a collaborative environment, and meaningful opportunities to leverage and expand client relationships while working on complex commercial real estate transactions.

The practice represents developers, institutional investors, lenders, financial institutions, REITs, owners, operators, and corporate users of real estate in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects, commercial leasing, joint ventures, and other sophisticated transactional matters across a broad range of industries.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development projects, commercial leasing, joint ventures, and other commercial real estate transactions.
• Structure, negotiate, and close sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, development agreements, and related transaction documents.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, counterparties, lenders, and deal teams.
• Advise clients throughout all stages of complex commercial real estate transactions.
• Collaborate with attorneys across finance, corporate, tax, construction, and related practice areas.
• Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice while helping grow long-term client relationships and the firm's commercial real estate practice.

Qualifications

• Significant experience representing clients in sophisticated commercial real estate transactions.
• Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, commercial leasing, development, and related real estate matters.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
• Excellent academic credentials and sound professional judgment.
• Demonstrated success developing and maintaining client relationships, with some portable business or a strong track record of originating business preferred.
• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible for admission.
