Patient Accounting Specialist Location: Kalispell, Montana

Logan Health Medical Equipment is seeking a Patient Accounting Specialist to support patients by coordinating billing, payments, and account activities. This role involves managing medical billing, collections, claims research, and delivering excellent customer service to ensure a smooth financial experience.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 1 year experience in claims, billing, and collections; 2 years in a business office preferred

  • Strong accounting, business math, and ten-key skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Healthcare billing experience and knowledge of payer regulations a plus

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; adaptable to new software

  • Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations

What You'll Do

  • Act as liaison between patients, providers, insurers, and vendors

  • Handle inquiries related to quotes, equipment authorizations, and billing

  • Analyze accounts to resolve claims and payment issues promptly

  • Manage Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance claims and EOBs

  • Post payments, adjustments, and manage refunds accurately

  • Resolve insurance appeals and correspondence efficiently

  • Maintain detailed documentation and records

  • Meet productivity and quality standards

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements

Shift:

Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours a week (8-hour day shifts)

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
