Working alongside engineering, you'll help develop and refine next-generation propulsion systems by building hardware, solving problems, and improving the way we test.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build, inspect, configure, and install development and production gas turbine engines, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform pre- and post-test inspections, execute engine test procedures, and monitor engine performance, instrumentation, and test stand systems.
  • Build, modify, and maintain mechanical and electrical Test Stand Systems, including fuel, pneumatic, exhaust, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
  • Fabricate and integrate custom tooling, fixtures, tubing, brackets, and other hardware to support engine assembly and testing.
  • Troubleshoot engine, test stand, and support equipment while assisting with engine teardowns, component inspections, and Root cause failure investigations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to hardware, tooling, test systems, and processes to increase safety, reliability, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of engine builds, inspections, testing activities, and hardware configurations.
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment while contributing to best practices, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

Required:

  • Hands-on experience assembling gas turbine engines to engineering specifications and tight mechanical tolerances.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation, sensors, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Proficiency using fabrication equipment and common shop tools.

Preferred:

  • Building High-pressure fuel systems
  • Installing and wiring strain gauges, pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other test instrumentation
