Day-to-day responsibilities include teaching fundamental track and field skills, demonstrating proper techniques, supervising warm-ups and conditioning, and ensuring safety during practices and events. The coach will mentor participants, model positive behavior, encourage teamwork and sportsmanship, and help athletes set and work toward individual goals. Additional duties may include coordinating practice schedules, providing feedback on athlete development, and collaborating with other coaches and program staff to improve the overall program.

  • Commitment to creating a safe, non-discriminatory, and encouraging environment for all participants, regardless of background or ability.
  • First aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain it; experience working in community or school-based sports programs is a plus.
  • Availability for afternoon, evening, or weekend practices and events in the defined territory.
