Job description
Electrical Project Manager
Southwestern Ontario
Industrial Electrical Contractor
This is a strong next step for an Electrical Foreman, Lead Hand, or senior 309A Electrician who has been running work in the field and is ready to move into a formal Project Manager role.
Our client is a well-established industrial electrical contractor supporting customers across Southwestern Ontario. Their work is varied, field-based, and project-driven, with exposure across different industrial environments rather than one fixed plant or site.
This role is well suited to someone who has come up through field operations, understands industrial electrical work from the ground up, and has already been coordinating people, materials, timelines, customers, and job-site execution.
The Opportunity
This is a direct Electrical Project Manager title, with the support, mentorship, and internal structure to help someone grow into the full scope of the role.
You will be managing multiple industrial electrical projects at different stages, working closely with field crews, Foremen, customers, suppliers, and internal leadership. The work includes planning, coordination, execution support, site visits, customer communication, and keeping projects moving properly from start to finish.
This is not a desk-only project management role. You will stay close to the field, close to the work, and close to the people delivering the projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
Managing multiple industrial electrical projects across Southwestern Ontario
Coordinating with field crews, Foremen, customers, suppliers, and internal teams
Supporting project planning, scheduling, material coordination, and execution
Staying close to job-site activity and helping remove roadblocks before they slow the work down
Reviewing project progress, timelines, scope, and customer expectations
Communicating clearly with both tradespeople and customer contacts
Supporting quality, safety, and operational execution across active projects
Growing into a broader project leadership role with mentorship from experienced leaders
What We’re Looking For
309A Electrician required
Strong industrial electrical background
Experience in field operations, ideally with an electrical contractor
Foreman, Lead Hand, senior Electrician, or field leadership experience
Exposure to PLCs, VFDs, controls, automation, and industrial electrical systems
Ability to coordinate crews, timelines, materials, and job-site priorities
Comfort working across multiple customer sites and industrial environments
Strong communication skills with trades, customers, and internal teams
A practical, field-first project mindset
Desire to move into a more formal project management career path
Why This Role
This is a promotion path for someone who has already proven they can lead in the field.
You will not be expected to walk in as a fully polished Project Manager on day one. The business has the depth, structure, programs, and leadership support to develop the right person.
For someone who wants to move from running projects in the field to owning more of the customer, schedule, crew, planning, and execution picture, this is a very strong next career step.
Interested?
If you are a field-based electrical leader in Southwestern Ontario and this sounds like the next move you have been working toward, I would be happy to speak with you confidentially.
