Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership & Supervision Support

  • Provide clinical oversight and documentation review for 5–7 associate-licensed clinicians and/or interns.
  • Review and sign off on clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical records, within the scope of licensure and organizational requirements.
  • Provide clear, timely, and constructive feedback to clinicians regarding clinical documentation, diagnostic formulation, treatment planning, and clinical interventions.
  • Support clinicians in applying the DSM-5-TR appropriately when developing and documenting diagnoses.
  • Identify clinical documentation or practice concerns and communicate them to the Clinical Director as appropriate.
  • Support the development of clinical skills, professionalism, accountability, and ethical practice among assigned clinicians and interns.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director regarding clinician performance, clinical concerns, and quality improvement needs.
  • Direct Clinical Care
    • Maintain a caseload of approximately 22–25 clients per week.
    • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on presenting concerns, diagnosis, clinical needs, and client goals.
    • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate to the client's diagnosis, level of functioning, and treatment goals.
    • Establish therapeutic rapport and obtain relevant clinical and psychosocial information.
    • Provide crisis assessment and stabilization and coordinate referrals to appropriate hospital, community, or higher levels of care when clinically indicated.
    • Provide timely consultations to potential clients, as assigned.
    • Educate and support clients in achieving identified treatment goals.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Complete and maintain accurate clinical documentation within according to Lighthouse documentation requirements.
    • Ensure documentation supports the medical necessity, diagnosis, treatment plan, and services provided.
    • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, ethical standards, licensing requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.
    • Maintain accurate and organized clinical records.
  • Collaboration & Team Communication
    • Function effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary team.
    • Collaborate with clinicians, supervisors, school personnel, community providers, and other professionals as clinically appropriate.
    • Communicate concerns professionally and participate in solutions-oriented discussions when disagreements or conflicts arise.
    • Serve as a clinical resource and support for assigned team members.
    • Participate in clinical meetings, supervision activities, trainings, and leadership initiatives as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Active licensure in NC as an LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT, or equivalent clinical license
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience in a mental health or counseling setting
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of the DSM-5-TR and clinical diagnostic formulation.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation
  • Collaborative, empathetic, and solutions-focused leadership style
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation, treatment planning, and medical necessity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence providing constructive, clinically appropriate feedback to other clinicians.
