Role Description The Firearms Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in West Mifflin, PA. This role involves assisting customers with selecting firearms, ammunition, and accessories, while providing accurate product information and ensuring a safe, respectful buying experience. Day-to-day tasks include greeting customers, understanding their needs, explaining product features, and processing sales transactions in accordance with federal, state, and local firearms regulations. The associate will complete and review required documentation, support background check procedures, and maintain secure, organized merchandise displays. Additional responsibilities include inventory checks, basic cleaning and stocking of the sales floor, and collaborating with the team to uphold store policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of firearms, ammunition, and related accessories, including safe handling practices and basic technical understanding.
• Customer service and sales skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and guide customers through purchase decisions.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for handling documentation, background checks, and compliance with firearms laws and store procedures.
• Comfort working in a regulated retail environment, with the ability to learn and follow federal, state, and local firearms regulations.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills for processing transactions, maintaining records, and accessing product information.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and handle merchandise safely, and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Prior retail, firearms, military, law enforcement, or security experience is beneficial but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to meet all legal requirements for working in a firearms retail environment.
