Role and Responsibilities
We're looking for an junior Java developer with Java development experience and similar academic background.
They will be responsible to:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.
  • Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable university.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
  • Solid understanding of Java programming language and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Avalid Government of Canada Security Clearance is essential.
Preferred Skills:
  • Java Programming Language Proficiency.
  • Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, UNIX.
  • Programming Languages: Java, C/C++, Visual Basic.
  • Development Tools: Eclipse, Project Builder, CVS, Javadoc, Bugzilla, Ant.
  • Concepts and Methodologies: Product development lifecycle, prototyping, design patterns, UML, OOD, OOP.
  • Database and Object Persistence: RDBMS, MySQL, SQL, JDBC, LDAP, JNDI, Enterprise Objects Framework, XML.
  • Java API/Frameworks: QuickTime for Java, JMF, Applets, AWT/Swing (J2SE), Accessibility.
  • E-Learning: AICC, SCORM, LMS, LCMS.
