As a Biomedical Equipment Technician, you will play a vital role on the team by ensuring the equipment needed to provide critical healthcare to our patients is always in top condition.
About the Role:
The Biomedical Equipment Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of medical devices and equipment used in healthcare settings. This position involves the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a wide range of biomedical instruments, directly impacting the quality and safety of patient care. The technician collaborates closely with healthcare professionals to promptly troubleshoot equipment issues, minimizing downtime and supporting uninterrupted clinical operations. Additionally, the role requires meticulous documentation and adherence to regulatory standards to maintain compliance and facilitate audits. Ultimately, the Biomedical Equipment Technician contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery by ensuring that all biomedical equipment functions accurately and safely.
Scope: This role will support 2 hospitals in Missouri and 1 in Georgia, with a focus on the Missouri facilities. We would prefer someone located in either Joplin or Columbia. Repairs can include the following: infusion pumps, patient monitoring, respiratory equipment, beds, defibrillators, operating room equipment, EKG machines, anesthesia machines, etc. (Does not include X-ray or imaging equipment).
