Position Overview

Lakeland Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated, Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional telehealth services. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health using standardized evaluations and personal interviews to accurately determine their therapeutic needs.
• Develop and implement personalized therapy plans that target specific mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use, and eating disorders.
• Facilitate regular individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based strategies while maintaining an inclusive and culturally responsive approach.
• Provide clients with coping strategies and resources, empowering them to address personal challenges and improve their quality of life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, ensuring comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in mental health counseling through continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Lakeland Psychotherapy Center, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients, spanning various demographics and backgrounds. Our focus includes individuals facing challenges related to mental health disorders, trauma, and life transitions. Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.
• A minimum of four years of relevant counseling experience.
• A profound understanding of a variety of mental health disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based treatment modalities effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to cultivate meaningful relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in utilizing EHR systems and telehealth platforms for effective patient management and documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and establishing healthy boundaries with clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in telehealth settings and utilizing digital communication tools for client interaction.
• Familiarity with culturally responsive practices and a preference for serving diverse populations.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills, particularly in high-stress scenarios.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD $70,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
