An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bankruptcy Staff Attorney to join a highly regarded national law firm with an established Bankruptcy, Creditors' Rights & Financial Restructuring practice.

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced restructuring attorneys on sophisticated insolvency, bankruptcy, and commercial litigation matters. The successful candidate will advise a diverse client base, including financial institutions, lenders, creditors, trustees, and corporate clients navigating financially distressed situations.

Candidates with a strong litigation background who are looking to transition into bankruptcy and restructuring are encouraged to apply, as prior bankruptcy experience is beneficial but not essential.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative and highly respected practice, you'll assist with a broad range of bankruptcy and restructuring matters while gaining exposure to complex commercial disputes and insolvency proceedings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting attorneys on Chapter 11 bankruptcy and financial restructuring matters.
• Advising clients on creditors' rights and insolvency-related litigation.
• Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, briefs, and court filings.
• Conducting detailed legal research and preparing case strategy.
• Assisting with contested bankruptcy proceedings, adversary proceedings, and commercial litigation.
• Supporting negotiations, mediations, hearings, and court appearances where appropriate.
• Collaborating with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver commercially focused legal solutions.
• Managing multiple matters efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

About You

The successful candidate will possess:

• 3+ years' litigation experience, gained within private practice or through a judicial clerkship.
• Admission to practice in Georgia, or eligibility to do so.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Experience in bankruptcy or restructuring is advantageous but not essential.
• Judicial clerkship experience, particularly within the bankruptcy courts, would be highly regarded.
