Position Summary
The Operations & Sales Assistant Manager works directly alongside the Owner to support the daily operations, sales performance, and customer experience of the boutique. This role combines hands-on customer service with operational support and offers a growth path into greater leadership responsibilities over time.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, people-oriented, and takes initiative. They enjoy helping customers, supporting team members, and ensuring that the details behind the scenes are handled with excellence.
Primary Areas of Responsibility
Sales & Customer Experience
- Provide exceptional customer service and styling assistance.
- Build relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.
- Support monthly sales goals and promotions.
- Help maintain an inviting and inspiring sales floor.
- Deliver a warm, welcoming, and consistent customer experience.
Operations & Team Support
- Assist with inventory receiving, processing, and organization.
- Help maintain merchandising standards throughout the boutique.
- Support opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
- Help ensure daily tasks and operational projects are completed.
- Serve as a communication bridge between ownership and the team.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of retail sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a retail shift
- Ability to lift and move merchandise as needed

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous key holder, lead sales, or assistant manager experience
- Boutique or specialty retail experience
- Experience training or mentoring team members
- Visual merchandising experience
