Job description

Samuel Knight Corporation, a Dallas-based specialist recruitment firm, is proud to partner with a leading national renewable energy EPC in their search for experienced BESS Project Manager. Our client are known for their strong in-house execution, safety culture, and consistent project delivery for top-tier developers and IPPs. They offer long-term stability, complex builds, and the opportunity to be part of some of the largest renewable energy projects in the USA.


The BESS Project Manager will take full ownership of a project by guiding its execution from start to finish, working cross-functionally with teams such as engineering, scheduling, and commercial functions to plan, coordinate, and drive progress. This includes managing change, overseeing budgets, and ensuring all final documentation and closeout activities are completed effectively. In more detail, you will be expected to:


  • Lead overall project execution, overseeing scheduling, cost control, procurement, and daily site operations while coordinating across multiple disciplines.
  • Manage client relationships, including regular communication, leading project update meetings, and negotiating change orders to ensure timely resolution and alignment.
  • Maintain accurate project reporting, including cost forecasting and estimated completion, while proactively managing financial performance and cash flow.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensure contract compliance, and oversee proper documentation of key project events and changes.


We are seeking candidates who are either based near Farmington or open to traveling and staying on-site approximately 75% of the time, typically following a three-weeks-on, one-week-off rotation.
