Job Title: Medication Technician (NOC)

Location: Kiley Ranch Senior Living
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Night Shift (NOC)
Shift Schedule: Wed. to Sat. - 10p.m to 6a.m.

PayRate: $19

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medication Technician to join our night shift team. The Medication Technician (NOC) will play a vital role in our healthcare facility by ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and on time during the night hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medication administration protocols, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • dminister medications to residents/patients according to physician orders and facility protocols.
  • P
  • repare and distribute medication in a timely manner, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • M
  • onitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects associated with medications and report findings to the nursing staff.
  • A
  • ssist residents/patients with activities of daily living as needed, providing compassionate support and care.
  • M
  • aintain a clean and organized medication storage area, adhering to safety and infection control standards.
  • C
  • ollaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

  • articipate in staff training and education sessions related to medication management and safety.
  • A
  • ssist in maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures.
  • D
  • ocument medication administration and any relevant observations in patient records accurately and promptly.
  • A
  • ddress and resolve any medication-related inquiries from patients or family members, providing education as necessary.

  • ssist in preparing for inspections and audits related to medication management.

    Qualifications:

  • H
  • igh school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medication Technician or similar qualification preferred.
  • P
  • revious experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in medication administration, is highly desirable.
  • S
  • trong understanding of medication types, dosages, routes of administration, and potential side effects.
  • E
  • xcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • D
  • etail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A
  • bility to work independently and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
  • M
  • ust be capable of handling physical tasks, including lifting and moving patients as needed.

  • urrent CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
