Job description

About Us

Keyrenter Property Management is focused on “Changing lives one property at a time.” We manage residential rental homes and small multi-family properties, taking care of owners, residents, and vendors with clear communication and high standards.

We’re looking for a reliable, people-friendly Part-Time Field Specialist  to be our eyes, ears, and hands at the properties we manage.

Position Overview

This role is a mix of light maintenance work and field representation. You’ll:

  • Visit properties to meet and oversee 3rd-party vendors (plumbers, HVAC, cleaners, etc.)
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance
  • Complete basic condition checks/condition reports using a mobile app
  • Represent Keyrenter professionally with residents, neighbors, and vendors

You’ll use your own vehicle and we’ll provide mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform minor maintenance and repairs such as:
  • Lock Changes
  • Filter changes, battery changes, basic handyman tasks
  • Be on site when 3rd-party vendors are working, to:
  • Provide access and secure the property
  • Confirm work scope and quality matches the work order
  • Communicate any issues back to the office
  • Complete property condition checks/condition reports using our app (photos, notes, short videos)
  • Change/rekey locks when needed (training provided)
  • Install simple items (CO/smoke detectors, lockboxes, doorstops, etc.)
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents and neighbors when you’re on site
  • Follow company processes and safety standards

Requirements

  • Light handyman / maintenance experience (residential preferred)
  • Own reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and insurance
  • Comfortable using a smartphone for apps, photos, and email/text
  • Able to lift up to ~40 lbs and perform basic physical tasks (ladder use, carrying tools, etc.)
  • Strong communication and customer-service mindset
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently in the field
  • Willing to pass a background check

Schedule & Compensation

  • Part-time: Approximately 20-25 hours per week (can vary based on workload)
  • Typical hours: Weekdays during business hours, with occasional flexibility as needed
  • Compensation:
  • Hourly pay: $18-22 per hour (based on experience)
  • Mileage reimbursement for use of personal vehicle
  • Company-provided lock tools, basic supplies, and app access

Why Work With Us

  • Be part of a small, supportive team that values “Relationships First” and “Do the Right Thing, Period.”
  • Flexible part-time role that can complement other work or personal commitments
  • Variety in your day—different homes, different tasks, not stuck behind a desk
  • Opportunity to grow into more hours or responsibilities as the company grows

How to Apply

Please send the following

  • Your resume or a brief work history
  • A short note describing:
  • Your handyman/maintenance experience
  • Your general availability (days/times)
  • Confirmation that you have your own vehicle and are comfortable driving between properties
