Job Type:Student (Fixed Term)Job Description:The Graduate Research Assistant will be recruited, trained, and assigned for various research lab projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Obtain training in biosafety, conflict of interest, research integrity, cell cultures, endothelial functional and reporter plasmid assays, immunoblotting and real-time PCR
- Conduct specific assays and techniques
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the lab and organization
- Participate in the Annual Research Symposium poster competition
Qualifications:
- Academically successful COM or COB students
- Proficient in analytical thinking
- Minimum availability of 35hrs/week during the summer break (June-July 2024)
- Minimum of 1-year research experience. If the candidate meets all other requirements and some preferred requirements, this requirement might be waived
- Experience with research lab equipment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Transcriptomic analysis or Statistical background
- Experienced with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in mammalian cell culture
- Experience in immunoblotting and/or polymerase chain reaction assays
