Job description

The Kansas City Autism Training Center’s Astra Day School seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team as a full-time onsite BCBA Programmer.

KcATC includes Astra Day School, a Skill-Based Treatment program, and a Medical and Hygiene Cooperation Initiative. Our center-based Intensive Behavior Intervention program serves kids ages 2-12. Our Early Intervention program for children with autism is interwoven seamlessly with an educational preschool, providing dyad and small-group learning contexts designed to benefit all children.

KcATC’s Values:

  1. We strive to be kind
  2. We celebrate change
  3. We support the whole person
  4. We are science-driven

Responsibilities

  1. Supervise RBTs, including completing regular evaluations and checklists within Astra’s existing systems
  2. Assessment of learner progress, including ABLLS
  3. Work within an established system to make programming decisions
  4. Develop, implement, and assess the efficacy of interventions for increasing and decreasing targeted behaviors. This includes writing treatment plans for insurance-based funding.
  5. Implement direct sessions with learners and Parent Training sessions.

Qualifications

  1. BCBA Certification, Missouri and Kansas Licensure (or qualified to obtain)
  2. Minimum of two years experience as a BCBA
  3. Ability to pass a criminal background check

Physical Requirements

1.     Lifting 40 pounds.

2.     Bending and squatting for up to an hour per day.

3.     Performing activities that entail fine and gross motor skills: bend and kneel, squat sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time.

Competitive benefits are available to full-time staff.
