Dr.Kanks is a growing plant-based skin and hair care company looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team.
The Production Assistant will help manufacture, bottle, label, organize, and prepare Dr.Kanks products while following our production procedures, quality standards, cleanliness requirements, and inventory-tracking systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with making skin care, body care, and hair care products according to approved formulas and production instructions.
- Measure and prepare ingredients accurately.
- Assist with mixing, heating, cooling, filling, bottling, and packaging products.
- Bottle, cap, seal, and label products correctly.
- Record the quantity of products made during each production session.
- Track products through every production stage, including products in batch buckets, bottled products, labeled products, and finished inventory.
- Record the location of products, ingredients, packaging, and production supplies.
- Check labels, bottles, jars, caps, seals, and finished products for quality issues.
- Monitor raw materials and packaging supplies and report items that are running low.
- Report damaged ingredients, packaging problems, production mistakes, spills, or equipment issues immediately.
- Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, utensils, tables, and storage spaces.
- Follow all hygiene, safety, and contamination-prevention procedures.
- Complete daily production reports and communicate unfinished or newly identified tasks.
- Help organize the warehouse and production area when needed.
- Assist with other production-related duties assigned by management.
Content Creation Requirement
Dr.Kanks regularly creates behind-the-scenes content to educate customers and show how our products are made. The person hired must be comfortable being photographed or recorded while working on-site.
This may include appearing in short videos, photographs, social media content, training materials, or behind-the-scenes footage. Employees will not be expected to perform scripted acting unless discussed in advance, but they must be comfortable working in an environment where content is created.
Confidentiality Requirement
Because this position provides access to proprietary formulas, ingredients, production methods, suppliers, business processes, product development information, and upcoming launches, the selected candidate will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before beginning work.
The employee must agree not to photograph, record, copy, share, discuss, or distribute confidential company information without written authorization.
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow detailed instructions.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with oils, butters, powders, fragrances, and cosmetic ingredients.
- Able to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Comfortable performing repetitive production tasks.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to complete production and inventory reports accurately.
- Comfortable being photographed or recorded during approved on-site content creation.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, food preparation, cosmetics, warehouse operations, or inventory management is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move containers or boxes weighing up to [25–40 pounds].
- Ability to bend, reach, carry, pour, mix, bottle, and package products.
- Ability to work around fragrances and cosmetic ingredients.
