Key Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive testing protocols on payment systems and applications
• Identify, document, and report software defects and payment processing anomalies
• Verify transaction accuracy, reconciliation processes, and payment settlement procedures
• Collaborate with development and product teams to troubleshoot and resolve payment-related issues
• Develop and maintain detailed test cases and documentation for payment scenarios
• Perform regression testing to ensure updates don't compromise payment functionality
• Validate compliance with payment industry standards and security requirements
• Participate in testing cycles and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, or related field
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in data and processes
• Proficiency with testing tools and methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer literacy
• Reliable internet connection for hybrid/remote work arrangements

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with payment systems, fintech, or banking software
• Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting
• Knowledge of payment industry standards (PCI-DSS, ACH, wire transfers)
• Experience with bug tracking and project management software
• Certification in QA or software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, etc.)
• Understanding of SQL or database query basics
