Sealcoating General Laborer - Job Overview

Summary:
A sealcoating general laborer helps apply a protective coating to asphalt surfaces like driveways and parking lots. This role is physically demanding and typically seasonal, with work often performed in hot outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and prepare asphalt surfaces before applying sealcoat

• Operate spray equipment, squeegees, and other tools

• Use blowers and brooms to remove debris from surfaces

• Direct traffic or place safety cones and signs when working roadside

• Load and unload equipment and materials from trucks

• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

• Assist with crack filling, line striping, or other asphalt maintenance tasks

• Work Schedule & Pay:

• Often early morning starts and long days during the season

• Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods

• Comfortable working in hot weather and outdoors

• Valid driver’s license often preferred

• Experience in construction or paving is a plus but not required

• Willingness to travel locally or regionally for job sites
