  • Grow professionalism and reliability - Arriving on time, running activities smoothly, and maintaining a safe environment builds responsibility and accountability.
  • Gain problem-solving and adaptability skills - Handling challenges during activities and overnight supervision strengthens your ability to think critically and stay flexible.
  • Build meaningful relationships - Connecting with campers in a positive, supportive way fosters empathy, mentorship, and personal growth.
  • Experience event and activity facilitation - Leading games, adventure courses, and camp routines develops organizational and planning skills.
  • Learn conflict resolution and guidance techniques - Managing camper behavior and maintaining boundaries teaches patience and leadership under pressure.
  • Strengthen confidence in working with youth - Supporting children ages 8-16 in a safe and engaging environment builds self-assurance in your abilities.
  • Practice safety and care leadership - Overseeing campers' wellbeing enhances your skills in risk management and attentiveness.
  • Be part of a positive, growth-oriented community - Collaborating with staff and contributing to a vibrant overnight camp culture fosters personal and professional growth.
Who We're Looking For

  • Experienced in overnight camp, outdoor education, or similar environments.
  • Committed to creating safe, fun, and transformative experiences for every camper.
What You'll Do
Professionalism
  • Maintain and run a safe, organized, and respectful camp environment by leading and actively participating in the set-up, facilitation, and clean up of camp activities, including assisting host facility staff and guides.
  • Strive towards growth (asks questions, seeks solutions to problems, looks for feedback, is open to constructive criticism, demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in all situations, etc.).
  • Be prepared to begin duties on time, ensuring your assigned group of campers arrives promptly to all scheduled activities and demonstrating reliability throughout the entire camp session.

Teamwork and Communication

  • Communicate effectively with Kidventure team members and host facility staff to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all campers.
  • Collaborate with other team members to create the magic of Overnight Camp and a safe and positive camp culture.
