K&L Bagels

We’re on the lookout for applicants to join our team as BAGEL SHOP TEAM MEMBER. We have 2 - LOCATIONS .. please be flexible to work at either location. In this role, you’ll be the face of our bustling bagel shop, helping create a warm, welcoming environment for customers while ensuring quick and quality service. If you’re experienced in food service and eager to learn management this is a lively, fast-paced setting. If you love working with people and have a passion for food, we’d love to hear from you!

Duties

• Prepare and assemble a variety of bagels, spreads, and toppings according to shop standards.
• Operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, including food handling and kitchen areas, following health regulations.
• Assist with food safety practices, including proper food storage and handling procedures.
• Support team members with restocking supplies, and ensuring the shop stays tidy during busy hours.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and manage basic math calculations for sales and change.

Skills

• Experience in food preparation or working in quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS system a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
• Ability to multitask efficiently while managing time effectively during busy periods.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and retail math tasks.
