Job description

Position Overview

Joyful Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative teletherapy network. This full-time remote position allows you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a flexible work schedule. As a vital member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing emotional and psychological support to individuals in need.

About the Organization

Joyful Counseling, LLC is a thriving community health clinic situated in White Salmon, Washington. Our mission is to connect skilled therapists and counselors with clients who benefit from telehealth services, particularly those who face barriers to traditional in-person therapy. We are committed to promoting mental wellness and improving access to care for diverse populations.

Work Environment

Our virtual work environment is designed to foster collaboration and support among therapists while allowing you to maintain your own practice's autonomy. With access to a top-quality counselor dashboard, you’ll be able to conduct live sessions via video chat or text messages, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for both you and your clients. You can expect a nurturing atmosphere that prioritizes your practice and personal satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled counseling sessions using video chat technology, making it easy for clients to engage with you, regardless of their location.
  • Encourage open dialogue, facilitating discussions about emotions, experiences, and personal goals to instill trust and rapport.
  • Assist clients in setting and achieving therapeutic goals tailored to their unique situations, guiding them through various treatment modalities.
  • Identify and intervene in behaviors that may hinder clients' recovery, offering strategies for change that are actionable and supportive.
  • Advise clients on healthy coping mechanisms tailored to their individual needs, drawing on the latest therapeutic practices.
  • Monitor clients' progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and satisfaction.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary client base will consist of adults seeking mental health support for a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. All clients using our platform are thoroughly screened, ensuring they are stable individuals with low acuity needs. This allows you to focus on what you do best—providing high-quality therapy and fostering meaningful change.

Qualifications
  • Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Licensing: You must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice independently, such as:
    • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
    • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
    • Licensed Psychologist
    • Licensed Psychoanalyst
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Comfortable and proficient in utilizing technology for teletherapy practices.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in a telehealth setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and teletherapy platforms can help streamline your workflow. We value candidates who possess a strong commitment to client-centered care and who demonstrate empathy and sensitivity in their practice.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
  • Sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
  • Weekly direct deposit for your convenience.
  • Monthly healthcare stipend available for full-time counselors.
  • Minimal paperwork and administrative burdens, allowing you to focus primarily on your clients.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Joyful Counseling, LLC, we believe in fostering the professional growth of our counselors. You will have opportunities for continuous education, specialized training, and participation in interdisciplinary case discussions. Your development is important to us, and we encourage you to advance your skills in the rapidly evolving field of mental health.

Why Join Our Team
  • Flexibility to create your own schedule, enabling a healthy work-life balance.
  • Unlimited referrals to ensure your calendar is consistently filled, maximizing your earning potential.
