Job description

Jones Telepractice Agency, LLC is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing services for a student in a school setting. The LPN will support the student's medical, health, and personal care needs throughout the school day, helping ensure a safe and successful educational experience while collaborating with school staff, families, and healthcare providers.
 
The location is at Kingswood Elementary School.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one nursing care to an assigned student during the school day.
Monitor and assess the student's health status and respond appropriately to medical needs.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the student's physician and authorized by the school district.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, toileting, positioning, mobility, and hygiene, as needed.
Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in the student's condition.
Implement physician orders, Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), Emergency Care Plans (ECPs), and IEP accommodations related to health services.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation.
Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, school administrators, therapists, and the supervising Registered Nurse (RN).
Promote student independence while ensuring safety and dignity.
Maintain compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
AZ Finger Print Card.
Previous pediatric, school-based, home health, or special needs experience preferred.
Ability to lift, transfer, and assist students with mobility needs when required.
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Must successfully complete all required background checks, fingerprinting, and district onboarding requirements.

Seizure monitoring and management
Diabetes management

Students with autism or developmental disabilities
