Job description

The Pet Care Specialist plays a crucial role in the daily care and well-being of dogs within a team environment. This position focuses on maintaining high standards of animal care, ensuring safety compliance, and closely observing animal behavior to promote healthy and happy pets. The role does not require overnight or extended shifts, allowing for a balanced work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily care and attention to dogs
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal care areas
  • Monitor animal health and report any concerns promptly
  • Ensure compliance with safety and care protocols
  • Observe and document animal behavior for wellbeing assessments

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in animal care
  • Animal handling skills
  • Knowledge of pet first aid
  • Proficiency in maintaining records using proprietary pet care software
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Attention to detail
