Our litigation team handles challenging business litigation, intellectual property disputes, and a wide variety of cases serving the litigation needs of our clients, including real estate, and will, trust and estate disputes. This role requires a sharp, self-starting legal professional who works independently, manages multiple court deadlines seamlessly, and takes direct ownership of their caseload. Litigation experience is strongly preferred, and a passion for litigation is a must.

You will be an integral part of our team on Day 1. This position directly impacts case outcomes. Required Qualifications

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school; Top 10% or Honors Required.
• Licensure: Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in civil litigation (defense or plaintiff-side).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, NetDocuments, and advanced legal research platforms (LexisNexis).
• Abilities: Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills, a thorough and masterful understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure, and the ability to handle a substantial and challenging workload.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

Substantive & Billable (80-90%)

• Case Management & Strategy: Formulate case strategies, analyze legal issues, conduct risk assessments, and manage overall litigation timelines and statutory compliance.
• Pleadings & Motion Practice: Draft, review, and finalize complex pleadings, affidavits, substantive motions (including summary judgment and motions in limine), and appellate briefs.
• Discovery Mastery: Engage in the type of careful case and discovery preparation that leads to great results.
• Depositions & Hearings: Conduct and defend depositions of key witnesses, parties, and experts. Represent clients at contested court hearings, mediations, and status conferences.
• Trial & Post-Trial: Participate in trials and preparation that will prepare you for a lifetime of success.
• Legal Research: Assure sophisticated strategic, legal and statutory analysis using LexisNexis and LexisNexis AI to extend and support complex litigation theories.

Administrative & Non-Billable (10-20%)

• Paralegal Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the Litigation Paralegal to direct document reviews, fact investigations and case development.
• Client & Witness Relations: Timely and responsive communication with clients to assure discovery compliance, provide case updates, and prepare them for testimony.
• Operational Oversight: Review conflict-of-interest searches for new matter intakes and ensure administrative tasks (scheduling, travel, vendor management) align with case priorities.
