J&K Commercial Construction is expanding our stainless steel manufacturing division, and we’re looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Laborer / Stainless Steel Polisher to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and wants to learn the metal fabrication trade while getting paid.

We provide hands-on training and opportunities to cross-train in different areas of our manufacturing operation. As your abilities grow, you'll have opportunities to learn additional equipment, fabrication processes, and positions within J&K.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Deburr sheet metal products
• Use grinders, Scotch-Brite wheels, soft spirals, deburring tools, and other finishing equipment
• Deburr and prepare fabricated components
• Assist with assembling stainless steel cabinets, display cases, and commercial kitchen equipment
• Assist fabrication crews as needed
• Package and crate finished products
• Load and unload trucks
• Move materials using pallet jacks and forklifts
• Read basic fabrication drawings
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop
• Learn additional fabrication processes as your skills develop

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Reliability and punctuality are extremely important at J&K. Our entire team depends on each other, so we need people who show up on time and are ready to work.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Familiarity with grinders, cutoff wheels, drills, impacts, and other power tools
• Basic mechanical skills
• Ability to read a tape measure
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
• Good communication skills
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities
• Willingness to obtain forklift, industrial safety, and CPR certifications after hire

Forklift experience is helpful but not required — training can be provided.

PAY & BENEFITS

$18.00 – $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

SCHEDULE

Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Overtime opportunities are available and may occasionally be required depending on workload.
