Helping CFOs & Controllers Hire Top Finance & Accounting Talent in SF Bay Area Based Tech, Biotech, Investment, & CPG Companies

Our client, a late-stage, venture-backed software company based in San Jose, California, is looking to hire a Senior Revenue Manager to own order-to-cash and ASC 606 revenue recognition. This role is on-site in the office 5 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Own order-to-cash, billing, and revenue recognition for complex, multi-revenue stream contracts
• Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition guidance, including contract review and documentation
• Prepare technical accounting memos to document revenue recognition positions
• Partner with sales and legal to review contracts
• Prepare required revenue disclosures for annual and quarterly financial statements
• Own revenue monthly close and forecasting
• Support audit activities related to revenue

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in revenue in a technology company
• Deep understanding of ASC 606 and experience with complex contracts
• Experience preparing technical accounting memos for revenue recognition and other complex transactions
• Experience partnering with a deal desk
• Excellent analytical, process improvement, and project management skills
