Job description

Joint Replacement Surgeon Opportunity

LifeBridge Health is a $2B+, 13,000 team member healthcare system that cares bravely for over 1 million patients annually throughout Maryland. We are comprised of 5 main healthcare centers: Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and Grace Medical Center and many surrounding specialty and primary care practices.

The Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO) at LifeBridge Health is actively recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Joint Replacement Surgeon to join our expanding practice in Baltimore, MD to support growing patient demand. RIAO is a leader in innovative joint preservation and replacement techniques and is home to a highly specialized team of orthopedic experts.

Position Highlights:

  • Join a world-class orthopedic team focused on total joint replacement and complex revision surgeries.
  • Academic involvement: Work directly with orthopedic surgery residents and engage in didactic and clinical teaching.
  • Research support: Access to dedicated research infrastructure with opportunities for grant writing, clinical studies, and publications.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across sports, trauma, total joint, spine, and pediatrics.
  • Four days of required call per month, with opportunity for additional call.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Completion of Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Fellowship
  • Ability to successfully obtain Maryland Medical License without restrictions
  • Current DEA license
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Passion for education, program building, and clinical excellence

This role offers a competitive guaranteed base salary of $450-500K. The base salary is dependent on specialty, board certification & experience, with opportunity for incremental compensation through wRVU production and potentially quality incentives
