Are you a dedicated and fully licensed mental health counselor ready to make a significant impact within your community? Phoenix Behavioral Counseling Services, LLC is actively seeking experienced mental health therapists to join our team. We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on your qualifications and experience.

About the Organization

At Phoenix Behavioral Counseling Services, we are more than just a community mental health center; we are a hub of accessibility and support for individuals facing mental health challenges. Located in Arlington, Texas, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality mental health care tailored to a diverse clientele. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to ensure that every individual receives the support they need, fostering a culture of compassion and respect.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position that offers a remote work setting, allowing you the flexibility to provide services from the comfort of your home. Although your direct interactions with clients will occur online or through teletherapy, our outpatient office is available for any necessary in-person meetings or community events. We also offer a supportive and inclusive work culture that promotes professional growth through regular supervision, peer collaboration, and continued education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to accurately understand clients' mental health needs, enabling the creation of personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual.
  • Provide high-quality therapy services using evidence-based practices across various modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic techniques suitable for individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
  • Work in tandem with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate coordinated care and ensure holistic support for each client’s journey to mental wellness.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to effectively manage situations with clients experiencing acute distress, ensuring they receive immediate and compassionate support.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives designed to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and enhance public knowledge about mental health resources available.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role at Phoenix Behavioral Counseling Services will involve working with a diverse array of clients, including adults, children, and families from various backgrounds and experiences. You will engage with individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions, providing them with the necessary tools and interventions to foster resilience and recovery.

Qualifications
  • An independent and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is essential.
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build therapeutic relationships and establish trust with clients are vital.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence to sensitively and effectively address and accommodate the diverse backgrounds of our clients.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to maintain accurate documentation and timely follow-ups with clients.
Preferred Experience

While we encourage all qualified candidates to apply, preference will be given to those with experience in a community mental health setting or with specialized training in trauma-informed care practices. Familiarity with digital therapy tools and platforms will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

In addition to our competitive salary range, we offer comprehensive benefits that include health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), professional liability insurance for peace of mind, and generous paid time off that contributes to a healthy work-life balance. Our commitment to your professional development means you will have access to continuing education opportunities and resources to advance your skills.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Phoenix Behavioral Counseling Services, there is a strong emphasis on professional growth. We provide opportunities for ongoing supervision, mentorship, and exposure to various therapeutic modalities and practices. As you grow with our organization, you will have avenues for advancement that may lead to leadership roles or specialized program development within the mental health community.
