Role Description The Commission-Based Business Development Representative is a volunteer, remote role based in Detroit, MI, USA. This position focuses on identifying and engaging potential landlord and property owner clients, presenting the value of the Imanogo app, and supporting them through onboarding and initial setup. Daily activities may include prospecting through local networks and events, conducting product demos, gathering feedback from users, and collaborating with the team to refine outreach strategies. The representative will track leads, maintain accurate records of interactions, and help build long-term relationships that drive adoption and commission opportunities. This role is well-suited for individuals interested in proptech, sales, and community-based business development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in outreach, networking, and relationship-building with local businesses or property owners.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills for explaining digital solutions in a clear, accessible way.
• Comfort with using mobile apps and basic digital tools; willingness to learn the Imanogo platform in depth.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple leads, follow-ups, and on-site activities.
• Motivation to work in a commission-based, volunteer environment and contribute to a growing startup.
• Knowledge of or interest in real estate, property management, or financial technology is beneficial.
• Previous experience in sales, business development, or community engagement is a plus but not required.
