Role Description The Dispatch Manager is a contract, on-site role based in Dallas, TX, responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations and ensuring efficient load coordination. This role manages driver assignments, monitors schedules and routes, and responds to real-time issues to keep freight moving safely and on time. The Dispatch Manager communicates with drivers, customers, and internal teams to confirm load details, resolve service concerns, and maintain accurate documentation. The role includes supervising dispatch staff, optimizing workflows, and aligning operations with company safety standards and customer requirements. The Dispatch Manager also tracks performance metrics, supports continuous process improvement, and participates in operational planning.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Dispatching and Operations Management skills to coordinate loads, routes, and schedules effectively.
  • Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with drivers, clients, and internal teams professionally.
  • Candidates should possess solid Supervisory Skills to lead dispatch staff, provide guidance, and support performance management.
  • Experience in freight transportation, trucking, or logistics operations is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, and general office tools (e.g., spreadsheets, communication platforms) is preferred.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under time pressure and maintain a calm, solutions-focused approach in fast-paced environments.
  • Knowledge of U.S. transportation regulations and safety standards is an advantage.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, business, or a related field is a plus.
