Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Industrial Electrical Site Lead to oversee and coordinate all on-site electrical activities for industrial construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing crews, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining project timelines, and delivering high-quality work.
This position requires frequent travel and the ability to lead small teams in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical crews from project startup through completion
- Inspect job sites to ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
- Monitor daily work progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure all work stays within project scope and assist with change orders and cost management
- Interpret and execute blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Lead site safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies
- Track job hours and ensure accurate timekeeping with office coordination
- Order and manage tools, equipment, and materials
- Identify and resolve issues proactively to prevent project delays
- Ensure compliance with NEC codes and industry standards
- Prepare job status reports and maintain records
- Obtain permits as required
Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership experience in industrial electrical work
- Strong experience with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings
- Knowledge of NEC, OSHA regulations, and safety standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel extensively (up to 75-100%)
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician license (or equivalent experience)
- OSHA 30 Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience in industrial or mechanical installations
