POSITION SUMMARY
TheJourneyman Electrician is or has been an INPO-accredited Electrician at WolfCreek or another U.S. Nuclear Plant and will provide leadership, experience,knowledge and skill to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, surveillance,calibrations, repairs, rework, removal/installation, and preventativemaintenance throughout the plant. TheJourneyman Electrician will have the knowledge and skill to use various testequipment to perform maintenance, provide feedback on procedure corrections,work instruction, walk downs, job preparation and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Performance of maintenance activities includingtroubleshooting, surveillance, calibration, repairs, rework, removal/installation,and preventative maintenance throughout the plant. As progress is made through the trainingprogram, participants will assist in "moderately complete"maintenance tasks as assigned requiring application of knowledge andskills. Ensure components and equipmentwithin system are maintained and operated efficiently. All activities will be in accordance withplant procedures and accomplished in a safe and effective manner.
Perform all aspects of assigned work including development,preparation, department interface, performance, and documentation of such work.
Understand and complete pre-task paperwork including partsrequisition tool acquisition, and transportation request to ensure the qualityof maintenance is maintained. Must beable to lay out work in planned sequence, using drawings, sketches andtechnical diagrams to complete tasks.
Brief, lead and coordinate work crews to complete work in asafe and efficient manner.
Train and develop personnel in technical knowledge andskills, in accordance with station policies and procedures.
Assist in performing administrative duties, includingM&TE evaluations, budget input, self-assessments, procedure development,correction and validation.
Plan, organize and control assigned programs to oversee thatthe program meets the intended function.
Perform other related activities such as E-plan, fire watch,confined space, painting, scaffolding, scaffolding and rigging, as qualified.
Perform walk-downs, peer evaluations, and job critiques.
Provide verbal and written turnover reports to ensure jobcontinuity and work progress status.
Perform duties and responsibilities of an ApprenticeElectrician III.
Ensure shop, office and work areas are clean every day.
Performother duties as assigned by supervision/management.

The individualsfulfilling the function of journeyman level Electrician shallhave three years working experience in one or more crafts.
AdditionalWCNOC Requirements:
Thisposition requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A technical school or vo-tech diploma orcertificate is preferred.
Toreach full qualification status, the candidate must complete the WCNOC TrainingProgram. Three years directly related experienceand equivalent training and pass the necessary performance test of requiredskill may be substituted.
CERTIFICATES,LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Thisposition requires current or former INPO accredited status as Journeyman atWolf Creek or any other U.S. Nuclear Plant.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Thisposition requires the successful completion of the MASS test.
Managementhas the right to require this position to pass and maintain respirator fit andqualification when necessary. This isnot an essential job function for this position, but management retains itsrights to ensure adequate numbers of respirator-qualified personnel to meetstation requirements.
Thisposition requires a satisfactory work record including good attendance.
Note: This is a bargaining unit position.
