Marketing Associate

Position Summary
The Marketing Associate supports the organization's marketing, member engagement, operational, and administrative initiatives. This role works collaboratively across the IAFF-FC, and affiliated organizations to support marketing and member outreach, administration and operational processes.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, proactive professional with strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a passion for supporting mission-driven organizations.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
- Support the planning and execution of marketing, communications, and member engagement initiatives.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of content across digital, print, email, social media, and other communication channels.
- Help maintain organizational branding and messaging across marketing materials and member communications.
- Contribute to the promotion of organizational programs, services, events, and partnerships.
- Support outreach and engagement efforts involving members, affiliates, partners, and stakeholders.
- Assist in responding to inquiries and connecting individuals with organizational resources and programs.
Marketing Platforms & Data Management
- Assist with the management and maintenance of organizational databases, CRM platforms, and marketing systems.
- Support reporting, data integrity, and performance tracking efforts.
- Help identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
Event & Project Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of meetings, conferences, and webinars.
- Assist with project coordination, timelines, logistics, and communications.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support organizational initiatives and strategic priorities.
Operations & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative and operational support across the organization.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, mail, and general office correspondence.
- Assist with organizational processes, invoicing, expense tracking, recordkeeping, reporting, and coordination activities.
- Support cross-functional projects and day-to-day operations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Experience in marketing, communications, operations, project coordination, administrative support, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience in marketing, communications, administrative support, operations coordination, or related fields.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with member-based organizations, associations, nonprofits, unions, or financial services organizations.
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, project management, and digital communication tools.
- Experience supporting events, member engagement, or marketing initiatives.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams and departments.
- Graphic design and content creation experience.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
