Optometrist (Float Position) Position Overview

We are seeking Doctors of Optometry for a Float Position providing weekend coverage (Saturday and/or Sunday) and possibly weekdays for several thriving primary care practices in the Dayton, OH area. Whether you are looking to accelerate your student loan repayment, save for a major milestone, or simply earn extra income, this role offers a high hourly rate within a growing company that prioritizes clinical excellence and doctor support.

Location

Dayton, Ohio (Multiple Locations). This float position serves various established, high-traffic practices throughout the Dayton metropolitan area. Known for its rich history in aviation and innovation, Dayton offers a high quality of life with a low cost of living, vibrant metro parks, and a welcoming community. These locations provide a consistent patient base and a professional clinical environment across the region.

Organization Overview

Our practice group is a leader in primary care, committed to a model that empowers doctors to focus entirely on their patients. We believe that providers should be free from the administrative burdens of running a practice.

To support this, we provide a comprehensive operational structure—including billing, marketing, and patient pre-screening—so you can focus on what matters most: patient health. The practice environment is energetic, professional, and equipped with modern technology. We provide a turnkey clinical setting, ensuring you can step in and deliver high-quality care at any of our Dayton-area locations.

What You’ll Be Working On
  • Providing full-scope primary care optometry to a diverse patient population on weekends.
  • Delivering high-quality eye care to patients ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
  • Utilizing provided ancillary business support to ensure a seamless and efficient patient flow across different sites.
  • Focusing on clinical excellence while utilizing provided patient pre-screening and technical support.
  • Contributing to a practice culture that values professional integrity and exceptional service.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Valid Optometry License in the state of Ohio.
  • Strong clinical skills and a passion for primary care optometry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within various supportive team environments.
  • Availability to provide consistent coverage on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
