Human's Care Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Center team in Brockton, Massachusetts. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000, commensurate with experience. Work Environment

As part of a vibrant surgical team within the trusted environment of Human's Care Hospital, you will work collaboratively in our Surgical Center, which is designed to foster both efficiency and patient safety. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balance between professional responsibilities and personal time. You will interact with various specialists and support staff to provide comprehensive surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health by performing detailed physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work, to evaluate patient conditions effectively.
  • Prescribe and manage appropriate medication therapies and therapeutic interventions while adhering to established protocols to ensure patient safety and treatment efficacy.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based practices, and collaborative inputs from the healthcare team.
  • Provide counseling to patients and their families on health management, medication regimens, lifestyle modifications, and nutrition.
  • Document patient treatment plans and outcomes meticulously while facilitating timely referrals when specialized care is necessary.
  • Engage in consultative services relating to the surgical specialties, ensuring a high level of expertise is maintained during patient interactions.
  • Manage patient care across various healthcare settings beyond primary clinics, including inpatient and emergency services.
  • Perform designated invasive procedures in accordance with the scope of practice and supervision guidelines.
  • Be adaptable to provide patient care as needed and address departmental coverage requirements.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant in our Surgical Center will work closely with a diverse range of patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including minimally invasive techniques and major surgeries. You will have the opportunity to assess and treat patients from all backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet individual needs and enhance their recovery experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field from an accredited program.
  • The candidate must possess a valid Physician Assistant certification and an active state license.
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a surgical or hospital setting is required.
  • Demonstrated competencies in critical thinking, effective communication, time management, and decision-making are essential.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a surgical center or cardiology clinic is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and familiarity with clinical workflows in a surgical setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
