Role Description: This full-time Licensed Insurance Agent role is a hybrid position based in Tysons Corner, VA, with a mix of in-office and work-from-home flexibility. The agent will consult with prospective and existing clients to assess their insurance needs, explain coverage options, and recommend appropriate products. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating and following up on leads, preparing quotes, processing applications, and managing policy renewals and changes. The agent will maintain detailed records in the agency’s systems, respond promptly to client inquiries, and coordinate with carriers to resolve billing, claims, and coverage questions. The role also involves staying current on industry regulations, product changes, and market trends to provide accurate, compliant guidance.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in Insurance Sales and Insurance Brokerage, with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales and retention goals.
  • Solid understanding of Insurance products and coverage types, including the ability to explain policies in clear, accessible language.
  • Foundational knowledge of Finance as it relates to insurance, premiums, deductibles, and risk management.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, including active listening, empathy, and timely follow-up with clients.
  • Active state insurance license (or eligibility to obtain) and adherence to all regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term client relationships.
  • Comfort with CRM or agency management software and basic office technology for documentation and follow-up.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
