Tech Lead – Full Stack / AWS / AI
Location: Iselin, NJ
Experience: 10+ years
We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead to provide hands-on architecture and engineering leadership across UI, backend, cloud, and AI for an enterprise insurance underwriting platform.
The ideal candidate will combine strong full-stack engineering expertise with AWS architecture, AI/GenAI experience, and the ability to lead distributed engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership across UI, backend, AWS, and AI initiatives.
- Design scalable and secure application architectures.
- Lead hands-on development using modern full-stack technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams.
- Lead and mentor onsite/offshore engineering teams.
- Drive technical standards, code quality, architecture decisions, and delivery.
- Design and integrate AI/LLM capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Technical Lead or Solution Lead capacity.
- Strong P&C Insurance / Underwriting domain experience.
- Strong full-stack development experience with React and backend technologies.
- Strong hands-on AWS architecture and services experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI, LLM, or Generative AI solutions.
- Experience leading onsite/offshore engineering teams.
- Experience with Agentic AI.
- Experience with LangChain or similar AI frameworks.
- AWS certification.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale AI solutions.
