Position Overview
The Wedding Event Coordinator is responsible forday-of wedding coordination and executionof weddings and catered events planned by our Sales and Specialist Team. Youll manage timelines, communicate with clients and vendors, and lead banquet/event staff to ensure every event runs smoothly from start to finish.
This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role that requires strong organization, calm under pressure, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute weddings and catered events according to contract and timeline
- Train, supervise, and lead banquet staff
- Coordinate event flow and ensure all details are completed accurately
- Communicate with clients and vendors before and during events
- Inspect venue setup, menus, and timelines prior to event start
- Remain present throughout the event to ensure guest satisfaction
- Supervise breakdown and ensure equipment is properly stored
Qualifications
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and service-focused
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Food service and/or hospitality experience preferred
- Must be flexible and available for weekends, evenings, holidays, and late nights
- Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to serve alcohol in Maryland
Physical Requirements
- 10+ hour shifts on your feet
- Moving tables and chairs
- Working indoor and outdoor tented events
- Frequently lifting up to 30 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs
