Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Helping Hand Healthcare Group, your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to understand clients' psychological needs and developing tailored treatment plans that align with their therapeutic goals.
• Providing individual, couple, and family therapy sessions through video conferencing, using effective therapeutic techniques to facilitate communication and emotional exploration.
• Maintaining compliance with all legal and ethical standards governing mental health practices, as per the guidelines set forth by the relevant authorities.
• Documenting session details and treatment progress in a timely manner, ensuring documentation is completed within 72 hours and adheres to the standards of practice.
• Collaborating with other support staff and healthcare professionals to maintain a robust caseload and optimize client scheduling.
• Addressing challenges that may arise during treatment and adjusting therapeutic approaches based on client feedback and evolving needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clients will include a diverse population comprising individuals struggling with a range of mental health issues, couples facing relationship challenges, and families navigating various life transitions. The flexibility of teletherapy allows for broad outreach, accommodating clients from varying backgrounds and with unique life experiences. You will be instrumental in guiding them through personal crises, aiding their emotional growth, and helping them replace dysfunctional behaviors with healthier alternatives.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Oregon.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in providing mental health services, particularly in a clinical or health-related setting.
• Strong understanding of client confidentiality, privacy regulations, and ethical practices within the mental health field.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, essential for effective collaboration and documentation.

Preferred Experience

While not required, the following experiences and qualifications are preferred:

• Previous work in telehealth services, demonstrating adaptability in utilizing digital platforms for therapy.
• Experience working with diverse populations and familiarity with cultural competency in mental health treatment.
• Relevant certifications in specific therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or similar approaches.
