Our practice is focused on providing compassionate and effective counseling services to individuals in need of support.

About the Organization

Health Assessment & Counseling PLLC is a community health clinic located in San Bernardino, California, dedicated to enhancing the mental well-being of our diverse population. We pride ourselves on being a pillar of support for individuals facing emotional challenges, mental health disorders, and life transitions. Our clinic fosters a collaborative environment where our team of mental health professionals works together to ensure that each client receives personalized care tailored to their unique circumstances.

Our digital infrastructure includes secure telehealth platforms that facilitate seamless therapy sessions and direct communications with clients and colleagues. You’ll have access to ongoing technical support to ensure that you can focus on delivering quality mental health care rather than administrative hurdles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with clients through video conferencing tools, ensuring privacy and confidentiality are maintained.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans based on detailed assessments of clients’ mental health conditions, goals, and needs.
  • Engage in regular collaboration with other healthcare professionals—including psychologists, social workers, and medical doctors—to coordinate care and develop holistic treatment approaches.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to track client progress and outcomes effectively.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management when necessary, utilizing evidence-based strategies to help clients navigate immediate challenges.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups aimed at empowering clients with tools for coping and resilience.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will directly impact a varied population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, among other mental health challenges. Our clients come from diverse cultural backgrounds, and your ability to connect and communicate effectively with each individual is paramount. You will play a key role in helping clients develop coping mechanisms and achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid LPCC license in California is required.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is necessary for this role.
  • Proficient knowledge of mental health diagnoses and treatment methodologies relevant for diverse client populations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience working in a counseling or mental health setting, preferably with a community health focus.
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience and clinical expertise. In addition to competitive salary, we offer:

  • Comprehensive health insurance coverage to support your well-being.
  • Generous paid time off policy, enabling work-life balance and personal rejuvenation.
  • Opportunities for professional development including training, workshops, and conferences to enhance your clinical skills and expand your knowledge.
  • Access to a supportive network of professionals committed to fostering teamwork and collaboration.
