Job description

Build AI Solutions That Enterprise Customers Actually Use

Harrison Clarke is partnering with a high-growth, AI-native company building intelligent software for some of the world’s most complex enterprises.

They are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers and turn some of their hardest operational and technical problems into production-grade AI solutions.

This is a highly technical, high-ownership role sitting at the intersection of software engineering, AI, product, and customer deployment.

You won't simply gather requirements and hand them off to an engineering team.

You'll understand the problem, design the solution, write the code, deploy it into the customer's environment, and iterate until it works.

Responsibilities:

You’ll work closely with enterprise customers to understand their systems, workflows, and business challenges, then build solutions using the company's AI platform.

Your work could involve:

  • Designing and deploying AI agents and agentic workflows into enterprise environments.
  • Building integrations with systems such as Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, Oracle, and proprietary internal platforms.
  • Developing APIs, services, data pipelines, and automation workflows.
  • Building RAG and retrieval systems across complex enterprise datasets.
  • Working with LLMs, model APIs, tool calling, evaluation, and AI observability.
  • Prototyping solutions quickly with customers before turning them into robust production software.
  • Debugging complex problems across application code, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems.
  • Working directly with customer engineering, product, and operations teams.
  • Identifying recurring customer problems and feeding those insights back into the core product roadmap.
  • Owning deployments from initial discovery through architecture, implementation, production, and iteration.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, TypeScript, Go, Java, or a similar language.
  • Experience building production applications, APIs, integrations, or data-intensive systems.
  • Strong understanding of databases, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working directly with customers or other technical stakeholders.
  • A track record of taking ambiguous problems from concept → architecture → implementation → production.
  • Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
  • A genuine interest in applying AI to real-world business problems.
