Position Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate, hands-on care that enhances the quality of life for our residents. Working closely with our nursing team, CNAs assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor changes in condition, promote safety and dignity, and help create a positive, resident-focused environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caring for others and making a meaningful difference every day.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation while following safe patient handling practices.
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the licensed nursing staff.
  • Measure and document vital signs and other assigned observations.
  • Assist residents during mealtimes and encourage independence whenever appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Accurately document care provided in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support quality resident care.
  • Follow all infection prevention, safety, confidentiality, and resident rights policies.

Requirements:Required Qualifications
  • Current State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or
    • Currently enrolled in an approved CNA training program and eligible to work as a nursing assistant while actively pursuing certification (must obtain certification within four (4) months, in accordance with state requirements).
  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to resident care.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, transferring, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, bending, and assisting residents throughout the workday.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, hospital, or assisted living setting.
  • Experience providing person-centered care to older adults.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or electronic health documentation systems.
  • Strong teamwork, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional resident care and maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
